  • ICD9/PROC CODE ALGORYTHMS: Developed methods to reduce NYS file processing costs by performing filtering and retention based on ICD9, procedure codes and other criteria observed from submission of previous files. Presented proposal to investors, executives and managers for standardization of data types and universal treatment of data, introducing efficiencies yielding cost savings to justify the expense of extended storage capacity.
  • SQL 2008 UPGRADES: Assisted in planning and implementation of a side-by-side upgrade of OLTP data warehouse and an in-place upgrade on an application server. Leveraged SSIS to upgrade and enhance over 50 existing DTS packages.
  • AETNA/PACIFICARE GROUP EXCLUSIONS: Discovered an average of $1.6 million/month in unnecessary claims and member removals while enhancing process with cacheable dynamic SQL logic; implemented revised logic to both correct issue and optimize queries and indexes for reduced runtime.
  • UHC VPO AUTOMATION: Created an SSIS Package to load 22 daily files based on existence and email users statistics from the operation. Identified and corrected truncation issues with legacy DTS package and updated data modeling documentation to resolve inconsistencies.
  • CLIENT REFRESH VALIDATION: Consolidated numerous scripts and revised validation logic to conform to data mappings and MRM data integrity requirements. Created stored procedures and over twenty user defined functions to dynamically validate data specific to MRM clients.

  • PRICELIST AND QUOTING APPLICATION: Employed Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to retrieve product lists and customer information to reduce resources dedicated to generating both written and verbal quotes. Dynamically adjusted price breaks in accordance with client pricing groups and allowed editing/addition of customer information to rapidly assemble on-screen, printed and database-recorded quotes. Saved company employees an average of one hour preparation time per quote while eliminating redundancy and serialization issues through employment of a SSRS Server.
  • RESOLVER ALIGNMENT UTILITY: Allowed production personnel ease in aligning motor resolvers during the assembly process by extracting positioning information from a microcontroller rather than using a voltmeter.
  • SERVOLOC CONFIGURATION APPLICATION: Developed in Visual Studio 2005 and Orcas 2008 environments to replace an older application and add aesthetic appeal for clients. Communicated with a microcontroller via an-house protocol created in the 1970’s. Permitted Serial, Serial-TCP/IP Redirected and TCP/IP interaction methods with the product.
